FEM: Finite Element Method - The FEM is a mathematical method for solving differential equations.

The behavior of structures can be described with differntial equations.

The solution of the equations of elasticity theory for example shows the behavior, meaning deformations and tensions of solid state objects under external pressures. FEM designs can already be investigated and optimized in the design stage on the screen, that is, before they physically exist.

Thus, the number of expensive prototypes can be reduced as well as time for development. FEM therefore helps to save resources and ensures a high level of quality and more innovative designs. The interaction between the technologies CAD and FEM is usefully integrated into our design work.
